Release of Liability & Disclaimer

Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge that yoga practice carries inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle strains, sprains, and other injuries. You assume all risks associated with participation, including those arising from the negligence of the instructor, other participants, or the facility. The Participant assumes full responsibility for all risks associated with participation in the APCSM Cat Yoga session, including but not limited to cat scratches, bites, and allergies.

Slip & Fall Hazard

The Participant acknowledges that cats may urinate, vomit, or shed, which may create slippery areas or other hazards. The Participant assumes full responsibility for watching where they walk and agrees that the Organizer is not liable for any slips, trips, or falls.

Personal Responsibility

You agree to take responsibility for your own well-being during the class. This includes listening to your body, modifying poses as needed, and resting whenever necessary.

Release of Liability

You release the instructor, the facility, and the Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts (APCSM) from any liability for injuries or damages that may result from your participation in this class, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Inherent Risks

The Participant understands and accepts that the APCSM Cat Yoga session involves the presence of cats, which may exhibit unpredictable behaviors. This can include scratches, bites, or other unexpected reactions from the cats.

Allergies

The Participant acknowledges that it is their responsibility to be aware of and manage their own allergies or sensitivities to cats or other elements present during the session. The Organizer will not be responsible for allergic reactions or other health issues experienced by the Participant.

Animal Welfare & Guest Conduct

Guests agree to treat all cats with kindness and respect. Any intentional harm or mistreatment will result in removal from the premises, and guests may be held liable and reported to the appropriate authorities.

Photo & Video Consent

The Participant understands that other guests may take photos or videos during the session and agrees that APCSM has no control over content captured by third parties. The Participant consents to APCSM’s use of photos and videos for promotional purposes unless they notify the Organizer in advance.

COVID / Illness Waiver

The Participant acknowledges that participation in a group activity involves exposure to other individuals and assumes all risks related to illness or communicable diseases.

Any dispute arising from participation in APCSM Cat Yoga sessions shall be resolved through binding arbitration and not in a court of law, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

This release of liability applies to the Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts (APCSM), its affiliates, employees, instructors, volunteers, contractors, and property owners.
