Ziggy
April 12, 2011 - April 19, 2024
-
Ziggy was an exceptional dog. He was a great ambassador for his breed and loved everyone. He helped raise not only my children but numerous foster kittens to get them ready for their new families. He also helped multiple dogs by donating blood. He loved frisbee and going to the beach. He was a gentle giant that unfortunately lost his battle with transitional cell carcinoma in April 2024. He is missed dearly by his human siblings Masen and Gracelyne.

Toby Chamberlain
March 2011 - December 26, 2025
-
On December 26, we said goodbye to our sweet Toby, who filled our lives with love and laughter for over a decade. At three years old, he was adopted from the wonderful team at APCSM in Brockton, who fondly called him a “doofus.” For us, it was love at first sight. Toby’s goofy charm, boundless affection, and that unforgettable toothy grin made him the heart of our home.
For ten years, the incredible staff at JM Pet Resort treated Toby like royalty. At daycare and boarding, they became his second family, showering him with belly rubs, snuggles, and adventures that kept his tail wagging.
Toby had a gift for finding sunshine—plopping down in a warm patch of light as if he were soaking up pure happiness. It was his simple joy, and it reminded us to slow down and savor life’s little moments.
We are deeply grateful to EB Veterinary Hospital, who gave Toby a long, healthy life and a peaceful, dignified farewell. Their compassion was a gift beyond measure.
Toby’s big heart and bigger smile lit up every room. He left behind countless happy memories that will warm us forever. Though our hearts ache, we know he’s stretched out in the sun somewhere, grinning and watching over us.
To APCSM, JM Pet Resort, EB Veterinary, family, and friends—thank you for giving Toby the happiest life. Rest easy, sweet boy. You’ll always be our “doofus,” our king, and our best friend. 🖤🐾🌈

Gent
May 2015 - April 22, 2025
-
I got Gent at the APCSM in 2015 and they said he was about 3. I can say this without hesitation that he was and in a way still is my whole world. He was the most annoying, most lovable thing. I will always carry him in my heart. I even went back to school after he died because Gent thought I could do just about anything. So I might as well be the person my dog knew I was. I’ll always miss you bud. I hope there is lots of pizza crust and no pretzels on the other side.

In memory of my baby girl. I am grateful to apcsm for her. She was my life. The most loving girl, never left my side and slept on my pillow. 12 years was not nearly enough, I miss her every day.

Coan
August 2013 - August 2025
-
Coan was an incredible dog who has changed our lives forever. He was so vibrant, playful, intelligent, and loving. He loved swimming, going for walks, chasing squirrels in the yard, laying out in the sun, snuggling on the couch, and hanging out with his human and canine friends (plus his cat brother, Bear). Peanut butter was a must-have in our household, along with durable chew toys and plenty of fuzzy blankets.
We didn’t have much time left together after his cancer diagnosis, but we cherished every moment. This has been a significant loss for our family as we mourn the center of our world. We hope that by creating this memorial, Coan’s legacy will live on by helping shelter animals in need.
The APCSM holds a special place in my heart. I used to visit the shelter as a child and our family adopted our first dog here in 2004. In 2016, I began volunteering and soon after became part of the staff. It’s a privilege to be able to work alongside these deserving animals and caring community.
Thank you for reading our tribute to Coan ♡
Love,
The Lawson & Gilmore Families
