Join Clear Skies Dog Training LLC at the APCSM on Sunday, April 12, and let your dog experience our obstacle course! Raffle Items Needed for Paws in the ParkPaws in the Park is just around the corner! One exciting update is that we have secured KC’s Curbside Bistro serving up some delicious food for our attendees!
We’re hoping to have some PAWesome raffles, but we need your help! Some item ideas include gift cards to local restaurants, museum tickets, or themed gift baskets.
Donated raffle goods will be accepted any day of the week between 9am-6pm at the shelter. For larger or more expensive items, please coordinate a pick up or drop off with our event committee at specialevents@apcsm.org. All proceeds from our raffle benefit shelter animals!!

Mittens
Mittens is an affectionate 10 year old cat who, sadly, has found herself back at the shelter after her owner could no longer care for her. Unfortunately, this is not Mittens first time being here - it's her third! Mittens remains as loving as ever, though she’s confused about why she keeps ending up without a home.
The first time she was surrendered, Mittens was severely overweight and needed a strict diet. Unfortunately, since her last adoption, she has gained even more weight and desperately needs someone committed to helping her get back to a healthy lifestyle. Due to her size, she struggles with grooming and will need some assistance, including daily brushing and cleaning with pet-safe wipes.
On the positive side, Mittens is SUPER sweet. She's very inquisitive about her environment and likes to be involved with the world around her. She has the cutest "meow" ever, loves to chill out on her soft comfy bed, and play with all sorts of toys. If you’re looking for a cat to keep you entertained and giggling, Mittens is your girl! She’ll let you know she loves you by giving you soft little slow blinks when you talk to her. You will fall in love with her in no time.
Mittens is absolutely worth the bit of extra care she needs. She deserves a loving home where she can feel safe, comfortable, and cherished for the rest of her years.

Nelly
Nelly is a sweet and curious white bunny with adorable black spots. She's always exploring her surroundings, nose twitching with excitement. Despite her adventurous spirit, she's a total softie who melts for chin scratches, happily closing her eyes in bliss. With her gentle nature and playful energy, Nelly is the perfect little companion!

NipseyMeet Nipsey! This adorable little guy is looking to start his next chapter in life after his previous owner was moving and could no longer care for him. Nipsey is only 19 pounds but is lots of fun! When he is with his favorite people he is very snuggly and playful. Nipsey enjoys walks and cuddles. He prefers an adult/teen only home and needs slow intros to new animals like cats and dogs. We think this spunky little man will make an awesome addition to the right person's life and bring them lots of joy! |

Oscar and OtisMeet Oscar and his brother Otis! This dynamic duo has been with us since June, and they're still looking for their new family. While both boys can be a little skittish at first, once you give them some time and offer some delicious veggies, they turn into totally different piggies! Thanks to a grant from the Petfinder Foundation, the next several Small Animals to be adopted from the APCSM will have their adoption fees waived! If you're interested in Oscar and Otis, please fill out the small animal adoption application on our website or visit us during public hours on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1-4pm! |

“Hello APCSM, We wanted to send along another quick update regarding Izzy. She has blossomed into a sweet, vocal, and playful little girl. She loves cat beds, toys, tunnels and sleeping next to humans at night. She also enjoys naps in the sunshine, heat grates, window seats to watch birds, and mastering treat puzzles. She does not enjoy any type of bag or the veterinarian. We want to thank you for giving us the chance to be her family - she brings us so much joy and laughter every day. - Stacy & Steve Mark”
