Little One Needs Your Help!

Little one was brought to the shelter by a good Samaritan who found her cowering under a porch. She is 6 weeks old. At some point in her short life she was either hit with something or kicked and her left front leg was badly broken just above the elbow. Our partner hospital's veterinary surgeon believes that he can save the leg from amputation with surgery but it will cost $2,500. If we can't fix the leg it will need to be amputated.

You can follow Little One’s story and contribute to her medical costs at

Adoption Center Wish List

Caring for homeless animals and finding them new homes is very rewarding work. But the costs of maintaining a facility that meets the needs of these animals are enormous.

Agility for Fun at the APCSM

The next 6 week agility session of 2017 is scheduled to begin September 23rd, weather permitting. Classes will be filled on a first come basis. Dogs must be a minimum of a year old, have their basic shots, and have successfully completed basic obedience training. The donation to the shelter is $90. Click here for details.

Life is Precious... but it's not always easy

At the Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts, Life is Precious. As an open-admission shelter, rather than a no-kill shelter, we aren't always eligible for grants or other fundraising opportunities. But we're also the ones who accept older and ailing animals, often beloved pets, that their owners can simply no longer care for.
